The little things that inspire

It’s time for me to get started on a new piece. This one is going to be a big one and I have pulled inspiration from two things. {1} The class I’m teaching tomorrow on “making your own wooden countertop” and {2} my “french word dresser” that I made awhile ago. I love those little bursts of inspiration because they make me want to get the project done now!

Sewing Center

Again I will apologize since I am awful at remembering to take Before Pictures. I remembered once I had gotten all the stuff cleared off the top of the desk which really defeats some of the “After Awesomeness”. But I will leave it to your imagination to see how unorganized it was before.

Kind of Before

There was a really big mirror on the wall and also a 3 drawer plastic bin that took up most of the left hand side top.

Here is all the stuff that I took off the top of my sewing table. I think this gives you a better idea of how messy it was.

After

Here is my after. It’s better but no complete. But I do love the material hanging! I put up curtain rods that I had lying around in the garage so this didn’t cost me anything {knuckle bumps}

Bathroom Makeover

I have one of those really awesome tiny bathrooms downstairs that we all lovingly call a “1/2 bath”. I would call it more like the “1/4 bath”.  Anyway I really want to make this a bathroom that people are in love with … Yes I want people to be in love with my bathroom. So I’m on the search for ideas. These are some that I have found so far. To see more click on the pictures. Enjoy

I love the bead board and the crown molding . I also like the idea of using a dresser around the sink

Look at this awesomeness! How to make crown molding look bigger. SMART!

I’m starting to see a theme…

I know I can’t do bead board and stripes but I love me some stripes!

I have no idea what is around this mirror but somehow I like it

Whatever I decide I will definitely fill you in!
