It’s time for me to get started on a new piece. This one is going to be a big one and I have pulled inspiration from two things. {1} The class I’m teaching tomorrow on “making your own wooden countertop” and {2} my “french word dresser” that I made awhile ago. I love those little bursts of inspiration because they make me want to get the project done now!
Oh my goodness! I’m so excited that this is Pantone’s Color of the year! I didn’t even know it until today and coincidently I picked out a variation of this color for a corner cabinet I’m working on.
Ok, these items are on sale this week. We need to move out the old and bring in the new.

I recently saw a bag on Pinterest that I loved! I wanted to make my own so off to Ikea I went! Out I come with a couch cover and one curtain panel from the as is section. This took much longer than I thought it would but I do love the outcome!
Again I will apologize since I am awful at remembering to take Before Pictures. I remembered once I had gotten all the stuff cleared off the top of the desk which really defeats some of the “After Awesomeness”. But I will leave it to your imagination to see how unorganized it was before.

There was a really big mirror on the wall and also a 3 drawer plastic bin that took up most of the left hand side top.
Here is all the stuff that I took off the top of my sewing table. I think this gives you a better idea of how messy it was.

Here is my after. It’s better but no complete. But I do love the material hanging! I put up curtain rods that I had lying around in the garage so this didn’t cost me anything {knuckle bumps}
I have one of those really awesome tiny bathrooms downstairs that we all lovingly call a “1/2 bath”. I would call it more like the “1/4 bath”. Anyway I really want to make this a bathroom that people are in love with … Yes I want people to be in love with my bathroom. So I’m on the search for ideas. These are some that I have found so far.
